College does change you. I can safely say that change was in my favor.

I've made a lot of nice friends. It's nice being friends that have the same interests, even there are some that are different, you can at least learn to accept them the way they are.

I've completely changed my view on skill and talent regarding art. thanks to one of my block mates. I'm really grateful that i was in the same block as him. I really think that if i wasn't in the same block as him, i would've never gotten better. I'd just stay with my moe-moe style i do, mediocre as i might admit myself.

I was really scared that i would just be some guy that's "kinda" good at anime styled art. How would i ever make it into the videogame industry as an artist if i could only do anime styled stuff. Its either i get really REALLY good at anime styled stuff or i do realistic. (i really didn't consider that back then)

Then i started aiming for my moon. My biggest idol is Ito Ogure (airgear, tenjou tenge)
I really love his style for airgear, midway of realistic and anime. It was really the style i was aiming for when i draw.
Then i stumbled upon his history, apparently, he started off as a doujin artist. I also found the first volume of Tenjou Tenge, and from what i can tell, he really sucked back then, his anime style back then was one of the styles i hated the most.

but...he started getting better and better...

as i was following tenjou tenge, he suddenly changed his style. like 360 degree change.

I started reading airgear, then i looked up to him unlike ever before. his style was so badass. Fight scenes, Character Design...everything, i loved everything about airgear.

I look up to him because he's got better in such a short time. before he really sucked but now i look up to him. I really want to do the same. I want to get better at art.

I really don't like referring to myself as an artist yet, maybe later on, but not yet.
Its not that i'm bringing myself down, i just like to think of it something to encourage me to do better. I look down on myself so i'll do better. I really dislike it when people look down on me, like branding me "oh, you can only do this and that". Good thing is it envigorates me to do better.
